Dr. Angela Nahl
Angela Nahl, MD, completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard University and her medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. In addition to completing her medical studies, she received numerous competitive scholarships and grants to study ophthalmology and perform ophthalmology research. She performed her residency in ophthalmology at the prestigious Doheny Eye Institute of the University of Southern California, which is reputed to have the largest and broadest surgical volume in the U.S. for ophthalmology residents. At Doheny she developed her skills in eye surgery, performing hundreds of cataract surgeries and other ophthalmic surgery procedures, such as eyelid surgery. She also was able to study with top faculty members in extreme subspecialty areas of ophthalmology. Dr. Nahl is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Nahl's manual dexterity and fine forceps dexterity was rated at the 95th percentile by the Johnson O'Connor Research Foundation.
